5 years and counting!

Today is our 5 year anniversary! It really has gone by so fast. I love Scott so much! He is the best husband and he really gets better at it all the time!
Reasons I love Scott:
He is probably one of the most talented people I know. Le me just mention all the cool things he does:
1. He is a guitar genius! He can whip out any kind of song! He dosen't just kind of play the guitar, he really is a GREAT muscian!
2. He is a songwriting genius! He has written me several love songs and I love all of them! That is romance! He also writes some pretty awesome non-love songs too.
3. He is an incredible writer! He has started so many books and all of them are interesting and gripping! (espescially the pirate one!)
4. If he wanted to be an athlete he could probably be an olympic athlete! He will do things if I dare him too that amaze me!! Once he did this wicked yoga pose that would kill anyone else!
5. He knows everything....almost. I can ask him any kind of question and he will tell me the answer or give me a pretty believable lie!
6. He refuses to do anything that makes him unhappy! He didn't like the idea of sitting behind a desk for a living, so he learned how to fly helicopters and make a living at it! I love that about him!
7. He is a wonderful father. My children are very lucky!
These are only a few of the reason that I love Scott. He is my best friend and he makes me feel safe by his side! I love you Bear!

Dane was so so happy to be able to run around in the dirt and go as fast as he wanted to! I'm sure you can tell by the expression on his face that he was having a great time!

Vegas

While we were waiting for the Ellen Show to start we each played one dollar at the slots! Scott lost his in less than 30 seconds. and I turned mine into $2.55! Don't worry! My gambling days are over!

The Ellen Show!!!!

About a month ago I was looking on Ellen's website and say that she was going to Vegas. I signed up for tickets and about a week later I got a call from the show!!!

Scott and I went to the show Friday!! It was a lot of fun! We were excited because we thought that our seats were on the 3rd row.....WRONG! They were on the 3rd row of the balcony! But it was okay because we could still see pretty well.

The guests were Bette Midler, Hans Something (a magician from Vegas), and Pink. Our favorite part was Pink!! She was so cool!!

Anyway!! I've always really loved the Ellen Show and I was so excited to see her! She was cool!

Thanks to Grandpa Kirk for coming and hanging out with Dane while we went! He had a blast. And it was really nice to just hang out with my hubby!

Our Little Drummer Boy!

I'm SURE that Dane is going to want his own drum set some day. He can't get enough. I sat there with him for 30 minutes and when I finally got tired of sitting there I picked him up and said "all done" and he was SO SO SAD! It's fun to see him being so musical already! Just like his dad! Thanks for the drums Chase!

Halloween!

Our good friends Chase and Melissa had a fun Halloween party at their house. This is the whole group. I have been hesitant to post the pictures because Scott and I went as polygomists and I didn't want to offend any one! If you are offened I'm sorry! We went to DI and got these costumes about 2 hours before the party! But I must say, I think we pulled it off!

Chase and Melissa are Zeus and Hera. (Dane would scream everytime Chase would put on the beard!)

UP UP AND AWAY!!!

Today I went to take Scott some dinner at work and he asked me if I wanted to go on a helicopter ride! I was so excited!! And scared! We only went for 30 minutes but it was awesome! At first I was really scared because they take the doors off the helicopter in the summer (it is still pretty hot down here!) I felt like I was going to fall out! There was nothing to hold on to! I just clasped my hands together and squeezed. It felt like we were going about 30 miles an hour, I asked scott how fast we were really going and he said 100 MPH!! We flew all around St. George and Scott showed me some really big houses and we flew over our house. It was neat to see what he sees every day. I felt so cool with the head set on. Scott is so cool!
My friend Melissa watched Dane for us. It was so cute to see him when we were landing! He was waving and pointing to the sky! I don't know if he understood what was going on, but it was cute anyway!
This isn't a picture of us flying, but it is the same helicopter! I didn't have my camera! Dang it!

Laughter

There is no better sound in the world than the laughter of a young child. I actually took this video a few months ago and totally forgot about it. It makes me cry with laughter! Note-Scott has some serious "hat-head"!

This is Dane's very own birthday cake. Funfetti is my favorite flavor, and since I passed my sweet tooth onto Dane, I figured it was his favorite too!

More Ghost Town

Ghost Town Adventure!

Matt and Katie came down last weekend to visit! We were so happy that they came, we needed some company. We went to see this ghost town called Grafton Scott knew about. It was really neat.

1 year ago....

One year ago (on September 17, 2007 at 11:42pm!) I was blessed to become a mother. Dane Matthew Jorgensen was 9lbs 9oz of sweetness. I never knew how much I would love being a mother. The last 365 days have been the most fulfilling of my life.
50 things I love about Dane.
1. I love that he looks just like his daddy.
2. I love that he is chubby!
3. I love his little grunt. (he has been grunting since the day he was born!)
4. I love is red hair SO MUCH!! I don't think I will ever cut it!
5. I love that he never fit into newborn clothes!
6. I love that he is so sweet.
7. I love his tender heart.
8. He has the cutest cry face! It breaks my heart when he cries, but it also makes me smile!
9. I love that he has slept through the night since he was 2 months old.
10. When he is really excited he will slap you in the face! It kind of hurts!
11.Lately when he has a poopy diaper, he tries to take it off himself. Just get rid of it!
12. I love his sloppy kisses!
13. I loved nursing him. He would always play with my hair, stick his fingers in my mouth, or pull at my eye lashes!
14. When he is concentrating on something it seems like his cubby checks magically get even bigger!
15. I love that he reaches for me when I walk in the room.


16. I love that he loves people. He never cries around new people.
17. I love how he splashes in the bath. I'm soaked afterwards!
18. I love that when he is happy and laughing, his mouth is wide open.
19. I love his 8 little teeth.
20. I love that he loves cheese like his dad and ice cream like his mom!
21. I love how he stares at little kids in amazement. I think that he thinks they are weird because they are so small! (not realizing that he is even smaller!)
22. I think he is going to want a drum set. There is on in our office right now, if we give him a drumstick, he knows exactly what to do, and cries when we take him away.
23. If he hears the refridgerator open, he races in the kitchen so he can stand in the cool breeze.
24. I love that he laughes at me when I have a towel on my head.
25. I love that he stands at the window when all the kids are at the bus stop in the morning and just watches them until the bus leaves.
26. every day he pushes Scotts bottle of shaving cream into bath tub. He likes the loud sound that it makes!
27. I love how excited he gets to play with Scott. His favorite is the chasing game.
28. I love his deep belly laugh. He has always sounded like he has already hit puberty.
29. I love that he is so determined. If he sees an obstacle course he has to conquer it! He always does!
30. I love that he has tiger stripe birth marks like his dads on his back.
31. Nothing is cuter than a baby's bum!
32. I love that he is always swinging one or both of his legs.
33. I love that he dances when he hears music.
34. I love that he has my feet!
35. I love that he follows me all around the house.
36. I love that he pulls all of our socks out of the sock drawer.
37. I LOVE his raptor style laugh.
38. I love that he laughs at pictures of himself.
39. I love that he always grabs my finger or thumb when I am holding him.
40. He has a pink bunny that is really soft. He gets so happy when we give it to him. He usually gets rid of it 30 seconds later!
41. I love that he loves Scotts diaper changing song; "You hold your pants, and I'll do a dance, and we'll get you a FRESHY!"
42. I love how he chews food. I can't describe it, it's just cute!
42.When he was about 3 months old he would always look at our family pictures on the wall and laugh.
43. I love that he liked the womb so much that it took him 18 hours to say goodbye to it!
44. He loves this game where he grabs my toes and he looks at me and waits for me to say "that's mama's foot!"
45. I love that he has discovered that he has control over the volume of his voice.
46. He has the cutest little courtesy laugh.
47. I love how he loves to be tossed really high in the air.


48. He loves to play in dirt. But he really loves to eat it! He is such a boy!
49. I love that he is so curious.
50. He just recently learned how to turn the light on and off. He always reaches for the switch when I get him out of his crib.
I love that little guy so much! I can't believe a whole year has gone by!

I did it! YAY! I am really proud of myself! I worked really hard! I had a goal to not stop and walk. I got pretty close to walking a few times but I never did!! I also had a goal to run the race in 2 1/2 hours, I beat that goal by 5 minutes!

He ran 26.2 miles. I know that he worked really hard. Right at the very end he started sprinting towards the finish line. I was really impressed. He was the one that got me to sign up for the half marathon. He was such an inspiration for me! Good job Matt! You are awesome!

Veyo Outing!

Today we went to Veyo. It is a little town that has a lot of nature, and we needed to get out of the house! We went to a really shady place with a creek that had lots of crawdads. It was really fun!

Dane found a stick that kept him very occupied for a while!

There were a ton of crawdads in the stream. Scott was determined to catch some. He had some lunch meat and a bowl and he would lure them into to bowl!

It worked! (Of course it did! It was my idea!) He caught two!

All Tuckered Out!

It was way past Dane's afternoon nap. He was a little grumpy But......

He feel asleep right away! Party pooper!

Rock Star!

In April Scott was contacted by the producer of a company called Quikstar Productions that does a compilation CD every year called "Chill Out". He heard A song of Scott's and asked him if he would be a part of the CD. Of course Scott agreed! The CD includes various artists, and it is finally finished!
